It serves as a widened, upgraded version of the 30200 series—featuring longer rollers and higher load-carrying capacity while maintaining a moderate outer diameter and contact angle—making it a primary choice for heavy-duty gearboxes and mining machinery.

Tapered Roller Bearing

Single-row tapered Roller Bearings are among the most widely used rolling bearings in industry. They feature an inner ring with a tapered raceway and a large guide flange, an outer ring with a cup-shaped tapered raceway, and a single row of tapered rollers positioned between them. The lines of action of all tapered surfaces converge at a single point on the bearing axis, ensuring pure rolling motion for the rollers. As separable bearings, the inner ring assembly and outer ring can be mounted independently. They are capable of simultaneously supporting radial loads and unidirectional axial loads; typically, they are installed in opposing pairs to provide bidirectional axial location. They find extensive application in sectors such as automotive, construction machinery, mining, and speed reducers.

Series Positioning

The 32200 series carries the diameter series code "22" and features a contact angle of approximately 14° to 16°, classifying it as having a standard, small contact angle. Compared to the 30200 series, the 32200 series shares the same (or slightly larger) outer diameter for a given inner diameter but offers significantly greater width and longer rollers, resulting in substantially enhanced radial and axial load-carrying capacities.

Relationship with the 30200 Series

The 32200 series can be viewed as a direct, widened upgrade of the 30200 series. Taking the 30208 (40×80×19.75) and 32208 (40×80×24.75) as examples: the outer diameters are identical, but the width increases by 5 mm, resulting in an approximately 50% increase in load-carrying capacity. When the 30200 series lacks sufficient load capacity but the outer diameter space cannot be increased, switching to the 32200 series offers the most convenient upgrade path, as no modifications to the housing bore dimensions are required.

Selection Recommendations

The 32200 series is suitable for medium-to-heavy load conditions characterized primarily by radial loads and moderate axial forces. Choose the 30200 series for greater cost-efficiency under lighter loads; upgrade to the 32300 series for severe impacts or extremely heavy loads; and consider the 33100 or 33200 series if axial forces are high.
